History/Buildings:-
Hoad Hill Monument
Visible from miles around, erected in 1850 and dedicated to Sir John Barrow second Secetary to the Admiralty for 40 years.

Lantern House
Winner of the British Architects Refional Award, this fine building has exhibitions by leading artists.

Laurel & Hardy Museum
Set in the centre of town this small museum in the honour of the famous duo.
