Full of character and steeped with history.  This beautiful village is situated between mountains and lake.  A popular destination for tourists.  The lake is famous for the world speed record attempts of Donald Campbell in his famous jet boat 'Bluebird'.


History/Buildings
Brantwood House
The 18th century home of victorian artist John Ruskin until his death in 1900, it displays many of Ruskin's drawings and watercolours, video programme, special exhibitions, bookshop, tearoom, lakeshore and woodland gardens.
Open daily mid march till mid november. (11:00 - 17:30 Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 - 16:00 in the winter)
