Tour 1 :- The
Coniston - Keswick 7 Hour Exercusion
From Newby Bridge we will take the road up the western side of Windermere,
Lakeside
being the first attraction. We will then continue through lovely wooded pastures stopping at Hill Top
,
at Sawrey the home of Beatrix Potter before continuing via Esthwaite Water to Hawkshead
for a little souvenir shopping. We will visit the Grizedale Visitor Centre
and view the beautiful shores of Coniston before journeying on to Ambleside
and Grasmere .
From Grasmere we will start the journey to Keswick, en-route we
will journey via the shores of Thirlmere Lake
(set amidst trees a good spot for photos).
In Keswick
(A formidable market town sat on the River Greta and surrounded by beautiful lakes and mountains) we will find time for refreshment and a little look at the shops.
Before leaving the Keswick area we will find time to admire the shores of Derwent
Water ,
and then head our way back to
Bowness .
